What an exciting start to our year now that Covid has subsided, and many of our ministry activities are in full swing. As some of you know, our good friends Keith and Kristi Tobin moved to Oklahoma at the beginning of the year. This left a huge void in our FCA family, but God has been faithful in replacing these key team members. Tatum Arrington is our new Administrative and Communication Assistant and Manuel “Pato” Hurtado is the new East Valley Soccer Director. Both are skilled staff members who love the Lord and care deeply about our focus on the people here in the valley. Also, my good friend Vincenzo Costagliola is our newest team member. Vinny and I are working on a new soccer ministry that will begin in the coming months. Pray for these new staff members as they assume new duties and begin raising funds for their ministry work.

FCA Coachella Valley continues to grow in our efforts to reach more coaches and athletes here in the valley. Recently, we certified 15 coaches in the FCA E3 Discipleship Training Program. The soccer club has grown from five to eight teams. Nick Altman, College of the Desert Golf Coach allowed me to meet the COD golf team (WOW they can hit a golf ball.) The team participated in our FCA golf function at the Classic Club in March, which gave them a chance to see what FCA is accomplishing here in the valley. Kephyan Sheppard, our Area Representative in the West Valley, is holding huddles on 5 high school campuses including Palm Springs High School. He started a basketball league at Desert Hot Springs in April.

As we continue to present the gospel of Christ and disciple coaches and athletes, we are witnessing God bear fruit through our work. Thank you very much for your continued support of FCA through prayers and gifts. You are our partners in this work, and we pray for God’s blessing on your life.

Your contributions will allow CJ to continue to disciple his players and coaches on and off the field, bringing the light of Christ to the East Coachella Valley and High Desert regions.
